Connecting To Your Database On a Different Port

(1886 views. Last Updated: 2007-08-08 8:15 PM)

Some hosting companies require that you to connect to their database server on a nonstandard port. Let's say your hosting company requires you to connect to your database server on port 2342, then edit FORMfields/src/FfDbHelper.php and replace:
$this->dbLink = mysql_pconnect($this->host, $this->user, $this->password);
with:
$this->dbLink = mysql_pconnect($this->host . ":2342", $this->user, $this->password);
